    • Nosler got a load for the 280AI start 57.5gr/IMR-7828 to max of 61.5gr @ 3043fps with 160gr AB. I'm loading 60.5gr/IMR-7828ssc with 160gr AB @ 3046fps. For the 168gr Bergers I'm using Hodgdon data IMR-7828ssc and H-4831sc and I haven't chrono any of those loads yet just like to get some more shooting in with those loads.

    • I recently had .280AI built for a mountain rifle. It's nothing super high end, but it's showing promise. When I first started doing load workups, all I had was H4831SC. I have since gotten my hands on some RL26. When it cools down a little, I will get out and see what it can do. So far all I have tried is the 160 Accubond and 169 Berger HVLD.

    • I shoot 2935fps with H4831SC and 168VLD's. 1:8.5" twist 24" rock creek barrel. This load is way over max listed and was very finicky with seating depth. I just worked up a load in another 280AI I just built and was hittin 2870 with 59 grains H4831SC and it shot great and still has some room to push it but not much. Mike

All of these are with RL26 and CCI BR2's and have shot really well in my gun. 162 ELDx, 60.9 gr RL26, .055" jump at 2950fps 160 Accubond, 61.5 gr RL26, .020" jump at 3000fps 165 Sierra TGK, 60.2 gr RL26, .020" jump at 2900 fps 168 VLD, 60.5 gr RL26, kissing the lands, at 2875 fps.

All with nosler brass and CCI BR2s. 160 Accubond, 61.5 grains = 3,000 fps 165 Sierra Gamechanger, 60.2 grains = 2,890 fps 168 VLD, 60.5 grains = 2,875 Anyone tried RL26 in their 280AI with heavy (175-190) grain bullets?
